FamiliesWhen someone you love is struggling, you do not have to figure it out alone.
Where to start
Call us at (888) 305-5422 or email info@theblackburngroup.org. A first conversation can help you find the right starting point.
Families often reach out first. Tell us what is happening, and we will help you sort out which kind of support fits.
You do not need your loved one to agree before you call. Many services work best when the person takes part, but your support can start now.
Paths we offer
Each part of our work meets a different need.
- Addiction or mental health: therapy, psychiatry and family services through Blackburn Clinical Services
- A loved one who refuses help: intervention through Blackburn Recovery Services
- Too many moving parts: one case manager to coordinate care through Blackburn Recovery Services
- A young adult who is stuck: mentoring and coaching through Blackburn Mentoring
- A need for accountability: drug and alcohol testing through Blackburn Monitoring
- Treatment you cannot afford: scholarships through The Blackburn Foundation
Support for you
Addiction and mental health challenges affect the whole family, not only the person in treatment.
Family coaching helps you understand what is happening, set boundaries and communicate better. Intensive workshops and family-focused therapy are also available.
Blackburn Recovery Services offers a free virtual family support group every two weeks. It is open to any family, whether or not your loved one is a Blackburn client.
Staying informed
With your loved one’s permission, our teams share regular progress updates.
Information is shared only with consent. When your loved one agrees, you are not left guessing.
For high school students in mentoring, a parent or guardian is part of the process from the first call.
In a crisis
If someone is in immediate danger, call 911. For a mental health or substance use crisis, call or text 988.
988 is the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. It is free and available 24 hours a day.
Once the crisis has passed, call us at (888) 305-5422 to plan next steps.
